I know that feeling all too well. My journey to a plant-based lifestyle wasn’t overnight—it was a series of small, life-changing steps that transformed my health, my relationship with food, and the way I feed my family.
I grew up in a world where food was more than just sustenance—it was love, tradition, and connection. But as I got older, I started noticing how food impacted my health. I struggled with my weight for years, never fully understanding how what I ate affected my body. It wasn’t until my pregnancies—when I faced gestational diabetes and preeclampsia—that I realized food could either harm or heal.
When I became fully plant-based, I experienced my healthiest pregnancy, lost over 100 pounds, and discovered the power of eating whole, nourishing foods. But I also learned that going plant-based can feel overwhelming at first. That’s why I created The Destined Kitchen—to help y’all transition to a more plant-forward lifestyle without the stress, confusion, or unrealistic expectations.
My Philosophy on Food
I firmly believe that eating plant-based doesn’t mean being perfect—it means being intentional. It’s about making small, sustainable changes that lead to big results for your health, your family, and the planet.
I also know that there’s a lot of misinformation out there—like the myth that you can’t get enough protein on a plant-based diet (spoiler alert: you can!). My goal is to break down these misconceptions and show y’all that eating more plants is not only doable but deliciously rewarding.
